Mana Crypt adds to generic mana to your mana pool which is amazing for a zero mana artifact, with just the small downside of a 50/50 chance of taking 3 damage at the start of your turn
This can be a good way to add a specific card to your Deck that you need, or to save up for cards you want to add to your collection
That said, while it might make sense to reprint these inoffensive cards, I still dont expect Wizards to actually change anything
